About

ASM Mission: To advance the profession of arboriculture.

The Arboriculture Society of Michigan (ASM), a non-profit organization founded in 2006, promotes arboriculture in the state of Michigan and beyond.  Its members include arborists, urban foresters, municipal and utility foresters, professional tree workers/climbers, academia and others interested in all aspects of arboriculture and the health and care of Michigan trees. ASM is the MI ISA chapter.

ASM provides various and multiple industry training workshops, hosts the MI tree climbing competition, advocates for the industry, hosts a 2-day winter conference & trade show – ArborCon, and ArborFest fall conference, administers the MI Oak Wilt Qualification program, is the lead agency on the Oak Wilt Coalition, and promotes public knowledge of the arboriculture profession.
